What hypocrites!

Ever notice how those who love to invoke their so-called Christian “ faith ” will not abide by any of the teachings of Jesus ? The pontificators are everywhere telling us how we should behave when they do as they please. It has gotten to be a weekly occurrence of some Republican being found in a compromising position of their sexual orientations, their infidelities, and their outright hate for anything done by others. Whether its solicitations of teenage boys, (Mark Foley R-Florida ) lewd sexual conduct in an airport’s mens room (Craig R-Idaho ) or the king of questionable behavior, Newt Gingrich, (R-Georgia. ) you can count on the GOPerverts to be very vociferous in their condemnations of others.
If it weren’t so pathetic it would be sad. In America it now passes as standard operating procedure to be a religious hypocrite. The GOP is full of persons who put on false appearances of religious virtue and act in contradiction to his or her stated beliefs.
In what other political party can members be proud to have Mark Foley as chairman of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children’s Caucus ? What other party boasts of their defense of our Constitution when impeaching a sitting president and turn a blind eye to the high jinks of its homophobic rank and file ? These are the people Jesus warned us about. Beware of false prophets, moneychangers and those who take money from the poor to give to the rich. These are the persons who cheered us into an unjust war while padding the pockets of their cronies with no-bid contracts.
Conservative churches are full of those invoking their faith. What we don’t need is for the same Bible thumping hypocrites to be in charge of our government. They voted in droves for a guy who’s I. Q rivals a houseplant just because he professed his faith. What better way to conceal one’s own perversions than to publicly denounce it while invoking the name of the deity ? This is today’s Republican Party. Personally, I wouldn’t let any of them watch my kids on television.
