Benefit Four-Man Scramble The third-annual Benefit Four-Man Scramble will be held Aug. 8 at Lost Springs Golf and Athletic Club in Rogers.
Proceeds will go to: "Shop with a Cup"fund, sponsorships of children's athletic teams, Bentonville High School Scholarship fund and assisting in sending police officers to the Police Officer's Memorial in Washington D. C.
There will be a catered meal provided (lunch begins at 11: 30 a.m. ) and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. There will be prizes, door prizes and a silent auction.

Edy's Grand Ice Cream Parent-Child Tournament Pinnacle Country Club will host its annual Edy's Grand Ice Cream Parent-Child Tournament on Aug. 8-10. The tournament is a family tournament.
The fee is $ 65 per team. All participants receive T-shirts, goody bags, refreshments and a player party.

There will be two leagues offered: 4 th-5 th grade and 6 th-7 th grade.
The registration fee is $ 50 per player. Each player must show proof of a current physical (2008 ) before equipment will be given out. Equipment will be given out on Aug. 9 at the following times: 7 th grade (9 a.m. ), 6 th grade (10: 30 a.m. ), 5 th grade (noon ) and 4 th grade (1: 30 p.m. ).
Each participant must have a current RAC membership ($ 20 ). The membership is current for one year from the date of purchase. Rogers Youth Fall Soccer League Rogers Community-School Recreation Association registration for the 2008 Youth Fall Soccer League will be taken until Aug. 9 at the Rogers Activity Center. Children ages 4 through 17 are eligible to participate. Children must turn 4 by July 31 to participate. The registration fees are as follows • Little Kicksters (4-yearolds ) and Under 6 ($ 40 )
• Under 7 through Under 12 ($ 50 )
• Under 14 through Under 18 ($ 100 ).
Each participant must have a current RAC membership ($ 20 ).
The membership is current for one year. Kappa Alpha Psi Golf Klassic On Aug. 16, the Fayetteville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity will hold their 12 th annual Golf Klassic at Berksdale Golf Course in Bella Vista. Monies raised will benefit the Rogers Meals on Wheels organization.
"Our Fayetteville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity raises proceeds for a nonprofit organization through our annual golf tournament," said Roderick Stakley, tournament chairman. "This year's primary charity is Meals on Wheels of Rogers which provides food and daily contact to those who are shut-in by age or infirmity. It is our hope to have a great turn out. "

Northwest Arkansas Bombers tryouts The Northwest Arkansas Bombers, 10- & -Under competitive baseball team, is looking to fill roster positions for fall 2008 through summer 2009 tournament play. Players may not turn 11 prior to May 1, 2009, to be eligible for this team.
Coaches are looking for players who love to play, want to play competitively, want to develop baseball skills and have a lot of fun. Must be committed to playing two to four tournaments in the fall and 10 to 12 tournaments in the spring / summer. Some travel required. Competitive baseball experience is preferred. Pitching experience a plus.
