FLW holding seminar, clinic Friday

Some of the most successful members of Castrol's Professional Angler Team will be appearing at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Rogers, where they will host a fishing seminar and clinic.
Fishing fans can meet the professional bass anglers, talk fishing strategies and stories, discuss tournament-winning tips and get an autograph.
The clinic will take place from 6 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. May 16 at the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 4208 Pleasant Crossing Blvd., in Rogers. The clinic takes place after day two of the tournament, giving anglers a chance to discuss their day on the water with fishing fans. Anglers scheduled to attend are Castrol team members Bobby Curtis of Siloam Springs, David Dudley of Lynchburg, Va., Mike Surman of Boca Raton, Fla., Darrel Robertson of Jay, Okla., Carl Svebek III of Siloam Springs, Mark Phillips of Fayetteville, and Darrell Stevens of Roseland, Va.
The free clinic is designed for people of all ages and skill levels. The Castrol Pro Anglers will be signing autographs, discussing fishing tips and techniques, including tips on tying knots, casting and selecting tackle. The Castrol Anglers will also conduct a casting contest, providing hands-on demonstration of fishing tips and techniques. Fishing fans of all ages have the chance to win a prize by participating in the casting contest.
Additional information will include details about what to check on autos and boats before heading out to the water, instructions about how to catch more fish, what life is like as a pro angler and general auto tips from the pros who put an average of 40, 000 miles a year on their vehicles.
