Habitat for Humanity sets golf event
Habitat for Humanity of Benton County will hold its fourth annual “ Hammer and Nail” Golf Classic on May 16 at Lost Springs Golf Course in Rogers.
This is a four-person, bestball scramble with fun events on the course, such as the longest drive for men and women, closest to the pin, the longest putt, a putting contest and a hole-inone prize hole. Mulligans also will be sold. Shotgun starts will be at 8 a. m. and 1 p. m., with lunch served from 11: 30 a. m. to 1: 30 p. m. Individuals, teams and sponsors are welcome.
Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the development of an ecological subdivision called Habitat Trails. The subdivision will include homes for 17 families, a wetlands area and a park.

The Adult Development Center is sponsoring a golf tournament May 16 at Shadow Valley Country Club in Rogers.
This is a four-person scramble with prizes for first, second and third place, hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin, and a putting contest.
Registration is at 7 a. m. and noon with tee times at 8 a. m. and 1: 30 p. m. and lunch at noon.

Pinnacle Country Club will host the Raymond James Adult Championships on May 16-18. Events include men’s and women’s singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles.
Men’s levels are 3. 0 and above, women’s levels range from 2. 0 to 4. 5 + and mixed doubles combinations are from 5. 0 to 9. 0.
Each entrant may enter two events. Entry fees are $ 32 for singles and $ 44 per doubles team. There will be goody bags, T-shirts, a player party on Friday night and refreshments all weekend. Call the tennis shop at (479 ) 418-7444 to register. Girls volleyball clinic at the Jones Center
Afree Girls Volleyball Clinic will be held at the Jones Center for Families, Springdale, from 10 a. m. to noon June 7 through Aug. 9 for girls ages 14 through 18. The clinic will be taught by Coach Hal in the gym and focus on basic through advanced skills and drills, pass, sets, hits, spikes, court awareness, team effort and scholarship prep.

The third annual XTERRA Eureka Springs — Off-Road Triathlon and Trail Run will take place June 7 in the 1, 600-acre Lake Leatherwood City Park located just outside of Eureka Springs. The race will consist of a 0. 5-mile swim, 13-mile mountain bike and 5-mile trail run. The separate trail running race is 3. 5-mile and will take place in the morning before the off-road triathlon.
