Loretta Jean Bohannon
Loretta Jean Bohannon, 56, of Jacket, Mo., died Monday, March 3, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Ark., following a battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 15, 1952, in Springdale, Ark., to Everett Wright and Gladys Smith Wright. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Pea Ridge, Ark. She was employed at Daisy Manufacturing Co. in Rogers, then later as an executive administrative assistant in the Communications and Arts Department at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville, Ark. She was involved in the Prison Ministries Program at the Washington County (Ark. ) Jail.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Gladys Wright; a brother, Billy Wright; and twin sons.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Bohannon; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Butler and Kelly Butler of Winslow, Ark., and Christopher Butler and Tami Butler of Springdale, Ark.; three stepdaughters, Stacie Sheldon and her husband Wesley Sheldon of Garfield, Ark., Amy Dillon and her husband Josh Dillon of Lowell, Ark., and Rhonda Restine of Rogers, Ark.; two brothers, Jimmy Wright and Danny Wright, both of Springdale; four sisters, Geneva Miller, Barbara McGarrah and Leona Wright, all of Springdale, and Clara Staggs of Hindsville, Ark.; her mother-in-law, Willie Bohannon; two grandsons, Austin Butler and Aubrey Butler; and eight step-grandchildren, Jesse Goff, Brittany Goff, Shelby Watkins, Hayley Watkins, Briana Byars, Kaedon Dillon, Savannah Hittson and Gavin Hittson. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 8, at Rollins Funeral Home, with Pastor Edwin Brewer and Robert Fairchild. Burial was at the Joyce Cemetery at Pilgrim’s Rest, near Springdale, Ark. Bettie Jo Childress Duncan Emberton, 77, died March 5, 2008. She was born Dec. 29, 1930, in Mineral Springs, Ark., to Joe Childress and Dicie Amanda Childress.
She was valedictorian of Mineral Springs
She was director of Dallas County Mental Health in Dallas, Texas, for many years before entering private practice in Nashville, Ark. In 1994, she moved her private practice to Rogers, Ark. Shortly thereafter, she joined Wellspring Health Care Associates in and practiced there until she retired in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. John G. Duncan, who died on July 16, 1956, in Forth Worth, Texas; her second husband, the Rev. William (Bill ) Emberton, who died on Jan. 26, 1997, in Rogers; two brothers, Harold Childress and Delton Childress; two sisters, Helen Childress and Ernestine Jester.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 10, at First United Methodist Church of Rogers. Arrangements were under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Paula De Ann Foster, 42, of Pea Ridge, Ark., died Thursday, March 6, 2008, in League City, Texas. She was born Feb. 28, 1966, in Brawley, Calif., to Orval Wyatt and Wyonia Carter Wyatt.
She graduated from Rogers
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William Carter; and her paternal grandparents, La Roy and Trula Wyatt.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Foster; two sons, Kyle Foster and Andy Driggs, both of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Nikki Foster of Pea Ridge; her parents, Orval and Wyonia Wyatt of Pea Ridge; her maternal grandmother, Dulcie Mae Browder of Bentonville, Ark.; her paternal grandmother, Rose Marie Wyatt of Broken Bow, Okla.; a brother, William La Roy Wyatt of Rogers, Ark.; and a sister, Dulcie Wyonia “ Lulu ” Tate of Pea Ridge.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 11, at the First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, with Pastor Al Fowler and the Rev. Jerry Nichols. Burial was at the Pace Cemetery east of Rogers, Ark. Charles “ Scotty” MacPherson Graham, 67, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. He was born Aug. 3, 1940, in Kilsyth, Scotland.
He was a retired roofer. He served in the Black Watch in the British Army, where he was a bagpiper. While serving in the British Army, he played the bagpipes at President John F. Kennedy’s funeral service. He enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Graham; three sons, Charles Graham, Robert Graham and Alex Graham; three stepchildren, Ryan, Rena and Sarah; and 10 grandchildren, Noah, Lyla, William, Bailey, Kendall, Allie, Jake, Kobe, Jordan and Brendon.
A private memorial service was held Friday, March 7, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Lawanda Hartman
Lawanda Hartman, 82, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in Rogers, Ark. She was born Aug. 1, 1935, in Piggott, Ark.

Floyd Eugene Johnson, 68, of Seligman, Mo., died Monday, March 3, 2008, at his home. He was born May 15, 1939, in Avoca, Ark., to Wesley Johnson and Stella Guyll Johnson.
He was a self-employed landscaper. He
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Johnson; and a sister, Josephene Johnson.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary Johnson and Karen Johnson of Seligman; a daughter, Karen Delano of Rogers, Ark.; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Leroy Johnson and Goldie Johnson of Seligman, and Don Johnson and Maggie Johnson, C. M. Johnson and Dorothy Johnson, and David Johnson, all of Rogers; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda Dorey and Paul Dorey of Rogers; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, at the Walnut Hill Chapel in Avoca, Ark., with the Rev. Tommy Dorey. Burial was at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Avoca.

Nita Larimore, of Rogers, Ark., died March 3, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Bells, Tenn., to Aubrey and Cylistia Waldron.
She grew up in Alamo, Tenn., where she attended school,
She was instrumental in the development of the Junior Auxiliary of Northwest Arkansas. She became an officer of Chapter U of the P. E. O. She attended the Central United Methodist Church of Rogers, where she served as a co-teacher of the New Life Sunday School Class for many years. She also served as the leader of the church council as a lay representative to the Arkansas Annual Conference of the Methodist Church. She was also an active Rotarian. She was honored with the 2005 Louise Thaden Woman of the Year Award at the Seventh Annual Northwest Arkansas Business Women’s Conference.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Cylistia Waldron; her husband, F. G. “ Larry” Larimore; and a sisterin-law, Doris Larimore.
Survivors include two sons, Jim G. Brown of Rogers and Robert S. Brown of Florida; one daughter, Lynn Stanberry and husband Darrell of Bentonville; one brother, Dr. Jim F. Waldron and wife Jo of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Robert Brown, Tyler Brown, Shelby Brown, Jay Stanberry, Steven Stanberry and Staci Stanberry; a brother and sister-in-law, Weldon and Glenee Larimore of Urbana, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 7, at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, with the Rev. Biff Averitt and the Rev. Jaimie Alexander officiating. A private family committal service was held at Benton County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Tyler Brown, Jay Stanberry, Jim D. Waldron, Steve Waldron, Larry Gatman, Kent Rylee and Robert Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Cowan, Chuck Hinson, John Clower, Dick Barclay, Carl Baggett, Harley Moser Jr., Russell Riggs, Doug Schrantz and Dick Trammel.

Loyd Marlin Lyon Sr., 70, of Rogers, Ark., died March 6, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. He was born March 18, 1937, in Rogers.
He loved fishing and camping, but most of all he enjoyed reading
He was preceded in death by his father, Everette M. Lyon, on April 19, 1986.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley Lyon; his mother, Callie Elizabeth Lyon, 91, of Rogers; one sister, Lois Dailey of Rogers; one brother, Larry Lyon of Pittsburg, Texas; five children, Marla Mays and husband Rick of Springdale, Crystal Floyd and husband Mike of Jenks, Okla., Loyd M. Lyon Jr. and wife Rhonda of Bella Vista, Dale Lyon of Rogers, Rennee Mealer and husband Randy of Harrison, Ark.; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church of Rogers on Monday, March 10. Entombment was at the Rogers City Cemetery in Rogers. Military honors were presented prior to entombment. James Kenneth Michaels, 78, of Lamar, Ark., died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in Lamar. He was born Dec. 18, 1929, in Clinton, Ind., to Charles Michaels and Leona Michaels.
He retired from Tyson Foods Inc. and was a Pentecostal. He enjoyed traveling and playing the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Theloa Michaels; a daughter, Diana Rose; a sister; and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Michaels; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth Michaels of Clarksville, Ark., Chris Michaels and Linda Michaels of Rogers, Ark., and Tim Michaels of Newport, Ark.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Melinda Mahurin and Jeff Mahurin of Kissimmee, Fla., and Sandy Michaels of Bentonville, Ark.; two brothers, Charles Michaels and Joe Michaels, both of Clinton, Ind.; three sisters, Charlotte Hedden of Avoca, Ark., Erma Matlock of Rogers and Marie Patterson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 10, at Rollins Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Ward. Burial was at the Phillips Cemetery in Cave Springs, Ark. Arrangements were under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Dorothy Alice Knapik Rabb, 77, of Bentonville, Ark., died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. She was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Warren, Ohio, to John Knapik and Mary Susko Knapik.
She was an active member of St. Theodore’s Episcopal Church in Bella Vista, Ark., for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge, working in her yard and caring for animals.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe W. Rabb; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Horn Pittsenbarger and Daniel Pittsenbarger of Bentonville; a sister and brother-in-law, Marion Mulcahy and Jack Mulcahy of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry Rabb and Drusilla Rabb of Shreveport, La.; and a granddaughter, Melissa Anne Horn of Rogers, Ark.

Joan Shupe, 72, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, March 3, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. She was born Oct. 27, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Edgar Martin and Nellie Dix Martin.
She was a keno manager for the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas, Nev., retiring after 21 years of service. She moved to Rogers in 2001 from Las Vegas. She enjoyed cooking, reading, crocheting and watching golf on television.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Bill Shupe, in 1983; a daughter, Kathy Ann Shupe; and a grandson, Jason Shupe.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Shupe and Krystine Shupe of Rogers; three daughters and a son-inlaw, Carol Gibbs and Floyd Gibbs of Azle, Texas, and Carrie Maemore and Tammy Burdo, both of Rogers; a brother, Frank Martin of Albuquerque, N. M.; two sisters, Evelyn Rodgers and Sylvia Zachary, both of Albuquerque; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Nancy Tucker, 60, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. She was born Feb. 5, 1948, in Detroit, Mich., to Maurice Wolfe and Barbara Zietsch Wolfe.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, David Patterson and Donna Patterson of South Haven, Miss., and Danny Patterson and Leslie Patterson of Bella Vista, Ark.; a daughter and son-in-law, Susie Drummond and Craig Drummond of Rogers; two brothers, Larry Wolfe of Fayetteville, Ark., and Kenny Wolfe of Bella Vista; a sister, Gail Good of Rogers; and three grandchildren, Blakely White, Macy Patterson and Gunnar Drummond.
