M. Lavon Bohannon, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Feb. 27, 2008, in Rogers. She was born Aug. 28, 1917, in Carl Junction, Mo., to William Lewis Lash and Anna May Compton Lash.
She was a homemaker and
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce A. Bohannon.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Nick Bohannon of Rogers and Michael Owen Bohannon and Lois Bohannon of Timonium, Md.; a daughter, Cheryl Ann Bohannon of Bentonville, Ark.; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, March 4, at Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville, Kan. A memorial service will be held at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers at a later date.

Gladys A. Burwell, 80, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008. She was born March 1, 1927, in Huntsville, Ark., to Abraham Lincoln Westbrook and Annie Mae Bolinger Westbrook.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Ellis Burwell.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Lewis of Rogers and Georgia Shultz of Fontana, Calif.; three sons, Bill Burwell of San Bernardino, Calif., John Burwell of Pinon Hills, Calif., and Harvey Burwell of Rogers; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 1, at the pavilion at Lake Atalanta in Rogers. Arrangements were under the direction of Benton County Funeral Home of Rogers. Erwin R. Frank
Erwin R. Frank, 95, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, in Rogers. He was born Sept. 5, 1912, in Herrick, S. D., to Carl Frank and Katherine Ulmer Frank.
Prior to retiring to Rogers in 1979, he owned Frank’s Clothing and Dry Goods in Gregory, S. D., and Parkston, S. D. He was the manager of Buche’s in Gregory for many years. He served as chairman of St. John Lutheran Church in Gregory. He was a member of the Gregory Commercial Club, the Rotary Club and the Gregory Community Hospital Board, and was director of the board of the Rosebud Electric Cooperative. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers. In retirement, he was a volunteer for the Office of Human Concern in Rogers and a longtime member of the Rogers Rotary Club.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Frank; three daughters and a son-in-law, Gretchen Frank of Wessington Springs, S. D., Judy Woolfolk and John Woolfolk of Shawnee Mission, Kan., and Rebecca Frank of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Vera Eby of Rapid City, S. D., and Alma Frank of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Robert Frank of Lincoln, Neb.; three grandchildren, Tamara Forsyth of Brookings, S. D., Cheryl Aschland of Atlanta, Ga., and Holly Paulson of Wessington Springs; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, at Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers. Arrangements were under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Velma Hall 87, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. She was born July 18, 1920, in Gregory, S. D., to Frank Powell and Alice Kenastom Powell.
She moved to northwest Arkansas in 1992 from Camp Verde, Ariz. She lived at Fountain Plaza in Rogers. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, fishing, and sewing. She raised Shetland ponies. She was a member of the Hand and Foot Club, The Widowers, and was an active member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Marvin Hall; a son Duane Hall; nine siblings, and a great grandchild.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacque Hargus and Chuck Hargus, of Bentonville, Ark., and Gwenda Barnes of Cottonwood, Ariz.; a brother, Vern “ Buck” Powell of Lakewood, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

W. A. Hardister, 84, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at Earlene Howard Hospice House in Springdale, Ark. He was born June 23, 1923, in Reydel, Ark., to William Hardister and Amelia Gocio Hardister.
He was an agent for the Frisco Railroad, now the Arkansas Missouri Railroad, in Springdale for 43 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, where he taught the Golden Years Sunday school class. He was president of the Springdale Rotary Club in 1964-1965.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Virginia, Madeline and Thelma Hardister.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Hardister, whom he married on Feb. 17, 1946; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Hardister and Debbie Hardister of Rogers; a sister, Irene Perkins of Conway, Ark.; a grandson, Aaron Hardister of Rogers; a granddaughter, Amy Allen of Roland, Okla.; a great-grandson Trey Allen of Roland; a sisterin-law, Lillian Malone of El Paso, Texas; four nieces, Jameslyn Bird of Conway, Priscilla Neely of Lynbrook, N. Y., Diane Lowe of Albuquerque, N. M., and Laura Hoffman of St. Louis, Mo.; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1, at the First Baptist Church of Springdale, with the Rev. Charlie Foster. Burial was at the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale. Arrangements were under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Constance Lee Hendriksen, 46, of Rogers, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, in Rogers. She was born Nov. 16, 1961, in Freeport, Texas, to Oscar Boyd and Betty Jane Clark Boyd.
Survivors include two daughters, Jordan Lee Hendriksen of Naples, Fla., and Brynn Boyd Wright of Fayetteville, Ark.; her father, Oscar Boyd and his wife Sheila Boyd of Rogers; three brothers, Danny Preston Boyd of Fayetteville, Billy Boyd of Waxahachie, Texas, and Michael Drew Boyd of Houston, Texas; and a grandson, Cameron Michael Yingst.

Delbert “ Louie” Johnson, 67, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, in Rogers. He was born May 30, 1940, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Delbert Johnson and Birdie Dickison Johnson.
He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Johnson; two daughters, Lawana Hale and Kimberly Johnson, both of Rogers; three brothers, Michael Johnson and David Johnson, both of Salinas, Calif., and Ronnie Johnson of Reno, Nev.; a sister and brotherin-law, Gloria Grimm and Floyd Grimm of Prunedale, Calif.; two grandsons, James and Joshua; and many nieces and nephews.

Laurie L. Jones Jr., 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born May 27, 1924, in Timber Lake, S. D., to Laurie L. Jones Sr. and Hazel England Jones.
He moved to Bella Vista in 1987 from Trail City, S. D. He was a member of the Unity Church of the Ozarks in Bella Vista. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Lakers Golf Group.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Willa “ Kaye” Jones; two sons, Lee Jones and Jay Jones, both of Trail City, S. D.; three daughters, Jordan “ Jodi” Schwab of Sioux Falls, S. D., Peggy Opp of Tacoma, Wash., and Karen Taymore of Rogers, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

John Wayne Martin, 72, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. He was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Greenwood, Ark., to Dolph Martin and Edith Shaw Martin.

Robert “ Bob” Middleton, 87, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008. He was born March 13, 1920, in Rochester, N. Y., to Allan Middleton and Viola Donals Middleton.
He enlisted in the U. S. Army Air Corps on Dec. 15, 1942. He served in World War II as a radio operator on B-17 s. He and his crew flew 35 combat missions. He retired from the U. S. Air Force on Nov. 1, 1969, as a senior master sergeant. He was a private pilot and owned an Aircoup airplane. He moved to northwest Arkansas in 1981 from Columbus, Ohio. He enjoyed photography, traveling, camping, boating and water sports.
He was preceded in death by a son, James Middleton.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lois Middleton; two daughters, Susan Middleton of Seattle, Wash., and Patty Thomas of Rogers; a sister, Leona Hedges of Kent, N. Y.; two grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in New York. Arrangements were under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Rose Ann Pilkington, 77, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Lorain, Ohio, to George B. Epps and Rhoda Kelly Epps.
She moved to Rogers from Wixom, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Wendall Pilkington.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Glick and Larry Glick of Rogers, Patty Killinger and Alden Killinger of Fowlerville, Mich., and Kathy Stowe and Randall Stowe of Bentonville, Ark.; two sons and daughtersin-law, Dennis Pilkington and Helen Pilkington, and Tom Pilkington and Celeste Pilkington, all of Rogers; two sisters, Joyce Sever of Walled Lake, Mich., and Jane Fitrakis of Redford Township, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mary Katherine Smith, 27, of Lowell, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born Oct. 1, 1980, in Texarkana, Texas, to Douglas Ray Smith and Katherine Presley Smith.
She was a quality-assurance supervisor with Simmons in Siloam Springs, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Smith.
Survivors include her father, Doug Smith of Lowell; and two sisters, Belinda Garland of Farmington, Ark., and April Gronwaldt of Springdale, Ark.

John David Stutzman, 62, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at his home. He was born July 20, 1945, in Fargo, N. D., to Ezra Stutzman and Alice Erb Stutzman.
He married Jeanne C. Irmer on Nov. 18, 1984, in Lincoln, Neb. He owned and operated John’s Big A Auto Parts for many years in Fairbury, Neb. He was a Lutheran and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne C. Stutzman; a son, Todd Stutzman of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Michelle Randolph of Kansas City, Mo., Raquel Harrison of Lowell, Ark., and Rozlyn Hoesing of Lincoln, Neb.; his mother, Alice Ott of Frazee, Minn.; four sisters, Sharon, Mary, Arla and Dee; two grandsons; and four granddaughters.

Rosetta Mae Swadley, 35, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at her home. She was born May 11, 1972, in Rogers to Houston Ray and Alice Faye Ray.
She enjoyed playing bingo, the outdoors and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky Swadley; two sons, Branden Shane Lewis and Houston Wyle Lewis, both of Alpena, Ark.; three daughters, Crystal Dawn Cannady, Summer Cannady and Samatha Nicole Lewis, all of Alpena; four brothers, Timothy Ray Cannady of Garfield, Ark., Kevin Dewayne Cannady of Seligman, Mo., and Riley Houston Cannady Jr. and Larry Lee Cannady, both of Rogers; and two sisters, Amanda Lee Colf of Rogers and Cathy Barnett of Centerton, Ark.
