Josiah Luke Andregg

Josiah Luke Andregg, infant son of Dwayne Andregg and Melanie McPherson Andregg of Rogers, Ark., was born and died on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at Willow Creek Women’s Hospital in Johnson, Ark.

He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather William McPherson and paternal grandmother Ernestine Andregg.

He is survived by his parents, of Rogers; five sisters, Ashlynn Andregg, Lauren Andregg, Brianna Andregg, Kiersten Andregg, Gabrielle Andregg, all of the home; maternal grandparents Kevin and Pam McPherson, of West Fork, Ark.; paternal grandparents Robert and Marilyn Andregg, of Rogers; maternal greatgrandmother Louise McPherson, of Yellville, Ark.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11, at Angel Park in Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers with Pastor Jim Holt.

Carolyn M. Corkum, 84, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in Rogers. She was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Mobile, Ala., to Carl Edgar Gaston and Wilhelmina Suart Gaston.

She graduated from the University of Alabama and was an associate professor in the College of Chemistry and Physics at Louisiana State University. She was a member of the Northwest Arkansas Weavers Guild.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth C. Corkum; and a sister, Joyce Gaston Wold of Rogers.

Cremation arrangements were by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.

Larry Lewis Counseller, 55, of Lowell, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born May 8, 1952, in Cottonwood Falls, Kan., to Harvey Lee Counseller and Verla Adams Counseller.

He was an auto mechanic at the Auto Service Center in Rogers. He was a past member of the Lowell Park Committee. He enjoyed working on cars and reading.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Verla Counseller.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Glenna Counseller; a daughter, Chasity Counseller of the home; two brothers, Bobby Counseller of Greenville, Miss., and Ron Brigman of Washington; and two sisters, Betty Klassen of Oklahoma and Kemberly Atkins of Missouri.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Elm Springs Cemetery in Elm Springs, Ark. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers. Dean Duncan

Dean Duncan, 78, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born July 3, 1929, in Dumas, Texas, to Glen Duncan and Lela Woolen Duncan.

He was a retired truck driver. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark. He enjoyed woodcrafting.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Duncan; and a brother.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Lee Duncan; two sons, Jerry Duncan of Johnstown, Colo., and David Daniels of Rogers; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Barbara Deubach and Steve Deubach of Greeley, Colo., Betty Deubach of Evans, Colo., Cheryle Lanning and David Lanning of Brighton, Colo., Kellie Allison and Darrell Allison of Rogers and Nora Stark and Roy Stark Jr. of Springfield, Tenn.; a sister, Jeanine VanGalter of Greeley; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 11, at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville, Ark., with Pastor Kenny Williams and Pastor Terry Simmons. Burial was at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, Colo. Arrangements were by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.

Sonia Diane Guillory, 40, of Bentonville, Ark., died Feb. 2, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. She was born on April 3, 1967, to Bill and Lola Mae Shackelford in Fayetteville, Ark.

She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in counseling and a specialty degree in school administration. She had been employed as senior class counselor at Bentonville High School until she resigned to be a stay-at-home mom.

Survivors include her parents; her husband, D. J. Guillory; three sons, Mason, Connor and Ryan, all of the home; two brothers, Larry Shackelford and his wife, Julie, and their children, Jamie and Reed, of Fayetteville, Ark., Loren Shackelford and his wife, Mary Christy, and their children, Ross, Emma and Will, of Fayetteville; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dan and Gina Guillory, of Rogers; and a special grandmother-in-law, Anita Poulas of Fremont, Neb.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Fellowship Bible Church Training Center in Rogers, with Pastor Robert Cupp and Pastor Mike Campbell officiating. Interment was in the Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

Jane J. Hixon, 89, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rogers. She was born Nov. 30, 1918, in St. Louis, Mo., to Albert Clinton Lovett and Agnes Julia Smith Lovett.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed antiquing. She and her husband owned Pete’s Auto Glass and Hixon’s Antiques.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman “ Pete ” Robinson; a son, Pete Hixon; two sisters; and a brother.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick Hixon of Las Vegas, Nev., and James Hixon and Lisa Hixon of Rogers; a sister, June Edwards of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Ruth Jefferson, 82, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday Feb. 7, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center of Bentonville. She was born Feb. 16, 1925, in Greenbrier, Ark., to Alva Fielder and Minnie Tyler Fielder.

She was raised in Searcy, Ark., and graduated from Searcy High School. She was a member of the Friday Duplicate Bridge Club. She enjoyed reading, playing golf and tennis and was involved in various activities supporting her husband when he was an executive with Wal-Mart. She and her husband lived for five months out of the year in Palm Desert, Calif., after their retirement from Wal-Mart. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church of Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Jefferson, on Jan. 5, 2008.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Terry Jefferson of Little Rock, Ark., Dick Jefferson and Camille Jefferson of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Tyler Fielder of Little Rock and Billy Fielder of Titusville, Fla.; a sister, Mildred Williams of Searcy; three grandchildren, Ellen Magevney of Jacksonville, Fla., Thomas Hunter Jefferson of Atlanta, Ga., and Lee Jefferson of Nashville, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Monday, Feb. 11, at Central United Methodist Church of Rogers with the Rev. Biff Averitt and the Rev. Jamie Alexander. Inurnment was at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. Cremation arrangements were by Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers.

John V. Karlin, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at his home. He was born April 4, 1917, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to John Karlin and Mary Narobe Karlin.

He was a cattle rancher and a coal miner, and retired from RTW in Rogers. He was a U. S. Army veteran and a member of the Rogers First Church of the Nazarene.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Karlin; and a sister, Ada Storman.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Sievert of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Elizabeth Powell of Santa Clara, Calif.; a son, Leslie Karlin; and his caretakers, Henry and Linda Atkinson of Rogers.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Burial was at the Rogers Cemetery. Frances Lucille Smith

Frances Lucille Smith, 70, of Rogers, Ark., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. She was born Nov. 5, 1937, in Dyess Colony, Ark., to Elvin Otis Woody and Agnes Gertrude Guthrie Woody.

She was the manager for the Colby Kansas American Legion and for Dollar General Stores and E-Z Mart. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Douglas Jay Keller and Billy Joe Smith; a daughter, LaDonna Sue Keller; and three sisters, Claudine Mauldin, Ida Mae Burrows and Myrtle Elizabeth Eudy.

Survivors include a son, Douglas Ray Keller of Rogers; a daughter, Dianna Jaye Worsham of Rogers; a brother, Rowe Donavan Woody of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters, Bobbie Lea Stark of Muskogee, Okla., and Gayona Ramsey of Colby, Kan.; five grandchildren, Amy Keller, Amanda Soard, Brandy Worsham, Kolby Keller and McKenzie Keller; and a greatgrandchild, Chyrell Stanley.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers with Jackie Chesnutt.

Mary Tolbert, 92, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, at a nursing home in Rogers. She was born Dec. 27, 1915, in Wichita, Kan., to David Franklin Trembly and Henrietta Ann Duncan Trembly.

She moved to Arkansas from Oklahoma in 1946. She was a self-employed seamstress, a cook for nine years at a nursing home and a baby sitter for many years. She was a member of the Gateway Quilting Club and Temple Baptist Church in Rogers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Thomas Tolbert, in 1971; five brothers, Garold Trembly, Cleo Trembly, Virgil Trembly, Lester Trembly and Alvin Trembly; and two sisters, Flossie Thomason and Dora Howe.

Survivors include a daughter, June Hurd of Rogers; a son, Glen Tolbert of Rogers; a brother, Harold Trembly of Manzanola, Colo.; three sisters, Irene McMillan of Santa Barbara, Calif., Barbara Henley of Elkhart, Kan., and Edna Scheleg of Rocky Ford, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 7, at New Prospect Church in Garfield, Ark., with Brother Ron Shults and Brother Ron Fields. Burial was at the Bayless Cemetery in Gateway, Ark. Arrangements were by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark. Jeff Earl Wade

Jeff Earl Wade, 74, of Rogers, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at his home. He was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Pauls Valley, Okla., to Dewey Earl Wade and Ethel Sudbury Wade.

He grew up in Shawnee, Okla. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1954. He married Cleta Jo White in 1954. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army in 1962. He worked in energy and drilling, long-haul trucking, and chemical distribution management.

He was preceded in death by wife, Cleta Jo Wade; and a son, Tony Curtis Wade.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rocky Wade and Jil Wade of Shawnee, Okla.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Darlene Stanart of Claremore, Okla., and Ethele Irene Bobbie Graph and Leo Graph of Rogers; three granddaughters, Destinie Martinez and Breanna Wade of Bakersfield, Calif., and Lisa Solberg of Tulsa, Okla.; a great-granddaughter, Grace Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service were held Tuesday, Feb. 11, at the Walker Funeral Service Chapel in Shawnee with Tim Youmans. Arrangements were by Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.

Memorials may be made to a local hospice or the American Cancer Society.
