The conference is co-sponsored by ACAAA and its longtime partner, the Arkansas Hunger Coalition, which works with food banks and pantries and advocates for more funding for feeding people. Its theme is “ Celebrating the Stars of Community Action, ” and clients, volunteers, staff and board members, and partners will be recognized for their work; a range of workshops on subjects of vital importance to the progress of the agencies and their clients will be offered.

The governor will speak at the luncheon the first day; David Bradley of the National Community Action Foundation in Washington will speak on the last day. Other speakers will include Rose Adams, executive director of ACAAA and Larry Cogburn, executive director of the Central Arkansas Development Council in Benton and ACAAA president.
