ADC Spring Fling The Adult Development Center of Rogers will hold their annual Spring Fling from 7 to 10: 30 p.m. May 17 at the Clarion Hotel in Bentonville. Events include silent and live auctions with live music. Nick and Connie White will serve as honorary hosts over the event which includes dinner and a cash bar. Casual, tropical dress is encouraged.
Also on May 17, the center is sponsoring a Poker Run at the Rogers-Bentonville Elks Lodge in Rogers with registration from 8 to 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Entry fee is $ 20 for the first hand and $ 10 for extra hands. Maps will be provided with directions and stops.

Early voting Early voting for the May 20 preferential primary and nonpartisan judicial general election will be held through May 19 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday ending at 5 p.m. on May 19 in the offices of the Benton County Clerk: Bentonville - 215 E Central Ave., Suite 217; Rogers - 300 West Poplar St., Suite 2 Deadline approaches to assess May 31 is the last day to assess personal property without paying a 10 percent penalty fee.

Friendly Bookstore moving The Friendly Bookstore, a used book store operated by the Friends of the Rogers Library, is moving to a different location. The store is an all-volunteer operation that raises money for library needs. It has been at its current location at 206 S. Second St., in downtown Rogers for 20 years.
From 4 to 8 p.m. May 16, most merchandise will be 50 percent off. The last day of business before the move will be May 17. Selected merchandise will be on sale that final day. Normal business hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p. m., Monday through Saturday.
Donated books will continue to be accepted at the current location through June 3; however, donors are asked to hold on to as much as possible until the new location is open. Magazine sales have been temporarily suspended.
More than 500 bookcases and tens of thousands of books will be moved. Help will be needed in packing and unpacking books and installing bookcases between May 18 and June 3. Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to leave a message at the store at 246-0533. They will be contacted to be scheduled.
The Friendly Bookstore will reopen at 10 a.m. June 4. The new address is 401 N. Second St., six blocks north of their current location.
