Washington County man killed in single-car accident

A War Eagle community man is dead after his car crashed into a tree early Tuesday morning.
According to a Washington County Sheriff's Office news release, 61-year-old Ronald Kemp was found dead at the scene of an accident in front of 23023 War Eagle Blacktop Road between War Eagle and Springdale. Officers determined that a little after 6 a.m. Kemp's vehicle left the road and struck a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Kelly Cantrell, public information officer for the Sheriff's Office, said there was nothing suspicious about the accident and that there was no immediate evidence that alcohol was involved.
She said blood samples from the victim were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, a routine procedure for a fatality accident.
