Abandoned trailer destroyed by blaze

The cause of an early morning trailer fire is being investigated by the Washington County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Firefighters from Wheeler and Wedington responded to the blaze at 13498 Gun Club Road just after 3 a. m. Tuesday. Upon arrival the trailer was engulfed in flames.
“ It was abandoned, ” said Wheeler Fire Chief Michael Oxford. “ Usually no one notices those kind of fires until it gets really red in the sky. Someone on a back road happened to see it and called 911. ”
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office 911 call log, the blaze was called in by a newspaper delivery carrier at 3: 12 a. m.
Oxford said no one was injured in the fire and the cause has not been determined.
