ADULT SOFTBALL REGISTRATION • Fayetteville Parks and Recreation is taking registration for the Adult Fall Slow-Pitch Softball League. Registration cost is $ 425. FHS FAST-PITCH ACADEMY • The Fayetteville High School softball team is sponsoring a summer fast-pitch academy and a fall fast-pitch league for athletes ages 9-14. The academy is a series of clinics on the basics of fast-pitch as taught by FHS head coach Jason Shirey and the LadyDawg players during July. Players will learn the fundamentals of hitting, defense, pitching and base running that prepares them for the LadyDawg fast-pitch fall league. There also will be opportunities for coaches and would-be coaches to learn teaching methods and strategies for the game. Players can come to all sessions or a few sessions - whatever fits their schedule. LITTLE SHARK TRIATHLON • The second annual Little Shark Triathlon sponsored by Northwest Arkansas Aquatics will be held June 28 at Memorial Park in Bentonville. The race is for kids ages 5-15 and the race will be limited to the first 200 entries. Registration cost is $ 25 ($ 35 after June 20 ). Required USAT registration is $ 5.
