LADY’BACK SOFTBALL : Team has a busy week before NCAAs

The University of Arkansas softball team competes in the NCAA Division I Softball Championship in Norman, Okla., this weekend. The 2008 Lady Razorbacks are the third team in school history to reach the NCAA Regional Tournament and have a lot to look forward to this week.
The Lady'Backs returned to practice Monday afternoon, and train again today and Wednesday morning at Lady'Back Yard before loading a charter bus to travel to Norman, Okla.
Thursday is a practice day for Norman Regional teams including the Lady'Backs, Oklahoma, Oregon and Tulsa. Arkansas is the No. 2 seed in the regional and has the first practice of the day which is set for 10 a.m.
On Friday, the Lady'Backs open the tournament with a game against Tulsa at 5 p.m. Warm-ups begin at 3 p.m. The Lady'Backs will then play on Saturday - at 1 p.m. if they win or at 3: 30 p.m. if they lose. The regional finals begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The tournament is doubleelimination and the winner of the Norman Regional will match up with the winner of the Hempstead Regional (No. 7 Arizona, Hofstra, Long Island or Canisius ) in the Super Regionals May 23-25.
