Aggravated assault
Deana Gail Powers, 47, pleaded guilty Monday in Washington County Circuit Court to aggravated assault for lunging at someone with a knife on Sept. 5, according to information provided by Washington County Deputy Prosecutor Kelly Scott. Powers was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay $1,000 in county restitution.Battering pregnant woman
Brad Allen Gates, 28, was charged Nov. 17 with third-degree domestic battery. He is accused of striking a pregnant woman on both sides of her head and grabbing her by the arms, causing physical injury on Sept. 27.
