Admitted child molester gets 10 years probation

A Springdale man who has spent four months in jail admitted on Wednesday to molesting an 11-year-old girl and agreed to serve 10 years of probation.
Rolando Sandoval-Delarosa, 32, entered a negotiated guilty plea to second-degree sexual assault. He was sentenced to 120 days in the Washington County Detention Center and he received credit for already serving this time.
He was also sentenced to 10 years probation through the Department of Community Correction and ordered to pay fines and costs.
He is accused on July 19 of putting his hand down the pants of an 11-year-old girl who was sleeping in his home but is not related to him.
He never denied touching the girl and initially told police that he was high and drunk at the time of the alleged incident and did not remember anything, according to the police report.
Police were told that Sandoval-Delarosa was using three different names and was in this country illegally, according to the report.
