A Fort Smith man was sentenced to 10 years probation and time served in the county jail for groping a woman in a Fayetteville grocery store.
Joshua Alexander Hilburn, 25, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to second-degree sexual assault. He was sentenced to 10 years probation and 98 days in the Washington County Detention Center, which he has already served.
Hilburn was ordered to pay for and complete a sex offender program through Mount Hope Counseling Center. He is also required to pay $ 1, 000 in restitution plus other costs and fees.
He is accused on Aug. 12, 2007, of approaching a victim in a grocery store and grabbing her in the vagina area before running out of the store.
After police reviewed the surveillance video and made a poster with a picture of the suspect, the manager of a nearby liquor store identified the suspect as Hilburn, according to the affidavit for arrest.
The victim then picked him out of a lineup, according to Fayetteville police.
