The Fayetteville Board of Education will hold its regular meeting 5 p.m. Thursday in the Adams Leadership Center, 1000 W. Stone St.

This will be the first board meeting since the University of Arkansas announced last week it was withdrawing an offer to buy the Fayetteville High School campus for $ 50 million. The board had hoped to sell the school to help finance construction of a new campus, though the board had initially offered to sell it for $ 59 million instead of $ 50 million.

The high school is not a specific agenda item, but it might be discussed during time set aside to discuss the capital improvement plan.

In other business, the board will hear an update on curriculum and a progress report on constructing an addition to Butterfield Trail Elementary School. Chief Financial Officer Lisa Morstad is scheduled to give a report on a possible bond refinancing option.
