Fayetteville police are searching for two suspects accused of firing shots at a pizza delivery employee.
Officers responded to a shooting on North College Avenue, just outside the Springdale city limits, at about 1 a.m. An employee of Mordour's Pizza told police that two suspects in a black Toyota Tundra fired three shots at him.
"He told dispatch that after making a delivery in Springdale, suspects in this vehicle approached his vehicle and fired at him," said Fayetteville Police Lt. Jamie Fields. "His car was hit."
At the scene, officers confirmed that the victim's black Oldsmobile Alero had been struck at least once, causing the car's front wheel cover to come off. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
The victim identified the suspect who fired the gun as the front passenger in the Toyota Tundra. He further described the suspect as a white male, with a "buzz cut"and a mustache, wearing a white T-shirt. Though he was unable to obtain a detailed description of the vehicle's driver, the victim did maintain that both suspects were white males. They reportedly fled southbound on Interstate 540 from A & B Towing.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Anyone with information about the incident can contact the Fayetteville police at 587-3555.
