Ladybug Picnic, for preschoolers, will be at 10: 30 a. m. and 11 a. m. Tuesday in the Walker Community Room. Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket and their favorite snack.
Vegetarian Teen Program, which takes place at 6 p. m. Tuesday in the Walker Community Room, will teach teenagers about the special nutrition needs of vegetarians. The Greenhouse Grille will make a community salad for everyone to enjoy.
Catch the Animal Bug, the library’s annual pet show and parade, will be at 1 p. m. Wednesday in the library’s parking garage. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite pet dressed up as a bug and join in the pet show. Dogs and cats must have current vaccinations and be on a leash or in a crate.
Weekly events for children include Preschool Story Time at 10: 30 a. m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room; Bilingual Story Time at 11: 15 a. m. Wednesdays in the Wal-Mart Storytime Room; Baby Bookworms at 9: 45 a. m. Mondays and Thursdays in the Walker Community Room; and Toddler Story Time at 10: 30 a. m. Each Thursday this summer at 10 a. m., a special event will take place in the courtyard. This Thursday it will be Professor Strings, who will teach children the history and versatility of stringed instruments.
