2008 Newspapers in Education Create-An-Ad design contest

Our annual Create-An-Ad media literacy design contest is underway.  The contest connects advertisers with K -12th grade students who produce advertisements for their favorite businesses and products.

  The Create-An-Ad contest meets state and national learning standards in media literacy, reading, comprehension, language arts and visual arts. Students practice their skills in following instructions, meeting deadlines, and creating high-quality visual presentations. As an added bonus, students feel the excitement of competing for display here on our Create-An-Ad Web page.

  Watch for the winning ads here in mid-April.  Six students will win $100 Arvest savings bonds, and their teacher wins a $100 gift certificate to Moser Corporation in Rogers.
