Arsonist sentenced to 24 years

A Rogers man was sentenced to 24 years in prison after pleading guilty to setting his home on fire with his disabled daughter inside the residence.
Charles David Dodson pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to arson, a class A felony; domestic battering in the second degree, a class B felony; and endangering the welfare of a minor in the first degree, a class D felony. He pleaded guilty under aplea agreement his attorney, Public Defender Scott McElveen, reached with Chief Deputy Prosecutor Stuart Cearley.
Dodson was arrested Dec. 16, 2008, after Rogers police responded to a domestic incident.
