A judge granted a request from prosecutors and defense attorneys to delay the murder trial for one of the men accused ofkilling 17-year-old Derrick Jefferson.

Uris Magana-Galdamez’s jury trial was scheduled to begin today.

Magana-Galdamez, 20, is charged as an accomplice tocapital murder and aggravated robbery. He is accused of being a participant in Jefferson’s murder. Erickson Dimas-Martinez, the alleged shooter, is charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery.

Court documents allege Dimas-Martinez shot Jefferson as he and Magana-Galdamez drove Jefferson to his Centerton home from a party in Springdale in December 2006. Investigators said Dimas-Martinez demanded Jefferson's coat, shirt and $30 the teenagerhad offered for gas money.
