Fans at Arkansas football games have been treated to a weekly dose of super-sized offensive plays.
That’s been a good thing and a bad thing for the Razorbacks. While the Hogs have turned into one of the nation’s best quick-strike offenses - with 13 offensive touchdowns of 20 yards or longer - their defense has also been the victim of 16 such long-play scores.
“That’s very frustrating as a defense,” Arkansas safety Elton Ford said, referring to Eastern Michigan’s four second-half plays of 24 yards or longer last week, including touchdown passes covering 77 and 32 yards.
“It already has hurt us inbig-time games. We have got to work on finishing.”
