Bowen named top 5A-West soccer coach

The Siloam Springs High School soccer program placed five members on the 2007-2008 Conference 5 A All-State squad and head coach Jason Bowen picked another top honor.
Josh Trotter, Stewart Zimmerman, Ramon Gomez, Misti Brown and Adrienne Kennedy received all-state recognition after guiding their respective teams to the 5 A State Soccer Tournament.
Jonathan Frias and Brown were named to the 2008 5 A All-State Tournament team following their stellar play in three matches.
Brown helped lead the Lady Panthers to the Final Four where they eventually lost to state runner-up Little Rock Christian, 6-0.
Frias and the Panthers also dropped a 1-0 heartbreaker to Little Rock Christian in the quarterfinals.
Angellica Ross, Amanda Cruzan, Lindsay Czapansky, Luis Monge, Ben Pollard, Rubens Mejia, Junior Sandoval and Frias received 5 A West All-Conference accolades.
Bowen, who was recently named the 2007 Arkansas High School State Soccer Coach of the Year, was tabbed the Conference 5 A West Coach of the Year.
