Jimmie K. Botts

Jimmie K, Botts, 62, of Colcord, Okla., died Oct. 4, 2008, at Fayetteville Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Dec. 14, 1945, in Gower, Mo., to Willard and May Kirby Botts. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, was employed by Peterson Industries in Decatur, Ark., and volunteered at the Colcord Senior Citizen Center in Colcord.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeannie Woods Botts in 1991; two sisters; and a brother.

He is survived by two brothers, Tilford Botts and wife Pat of Colcord, and Joseph Botts and wife Mary of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Dolly Shanks and husband Billy of Dearborn, Mo.; a daughter, Rhonda Harper and husband Sonny of Gentry, Ark.; and several grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m., Oct. 10, 2008, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Larry Ellis officiating.

Evelyn Louise Draper, 92, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Oct. 6, 2008, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab in Siloam Springs.

She was born March 29, 1916, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Chester and Nellie Griffith Penrose.

She was a secretary at Fort Worth YMCA and McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa, World War II.

After the war, she worked for Holubar’s Mountaineering Gear in Boulder, Colo. She loved music and played the piano and organ at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas, in later years and was Episcopalian.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Shaw; her second husband, John Draper; her parents; a sister, Leota Pilkington Smith; a grandson, and a granddaughter.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Griffin of Princeton, Texas, and Lynn Nix and husband Randall of Gentry, Ark.; two sons, Charles Shaw and wife Rita of Bartlett, Tenn., and Harvey Draper and wife Barbara of Farmington, N. M.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p. m., Oct. 10, 2008, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla. Visitation will be from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m., Oct. 9, 2008, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local church or Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cherokee City, Ark.

Alexander S. Gsoell, 63, of Gentry, Ark., died Oct. 5, 2008, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born Feb. 17, 1945 in Vienna, Austria, came to the United States in 1960 and became a U. S. citizen in 1987.

A graduate of the Dayton Art Institute of Dayton, Ohio, he joined Hallmark Cards, Inc. in Kansas City, Mo. After nearly 22 years with Hallmark, he was a free-lance artist for a number of years.

In 2004, he moved to Gentry where he was design manager at DaySpring Cards.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; and his children, Melissa Sterner and husband Tom of Austin, Texas, and Alexander Gsoell and wife Jeana of Kansas City; six grandchildren; two sisters, Fritzi Latzko of Clearwater, Fla.; and Trudi Meueller of Austria.

He was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Elizabeth Potzner Gsoell; two brothers, Erwin and Gunther Gsoell and a sister, Cristal Gsoell.

Edwin Schwerin, 82, of Gentry, Ark., died Oct. 7, 2008, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla.
