Wilkerson throws hat in ring for Delaware sheriff

Mike Wilkerson has announced his candidacy for the office of Delaware County sheriff in the upcoming election.
Wilkerson has been in law enforcement since the age of 19 and has been employed with several area departments including Siloam Springs, West Siloam Springs and Jay, as well as the Deleware County Sheriff's Department.
He is currently serving as police chief for Kansas, Okla.
Wilkerson and his wife, Joyce, have four daughters and 10 grandchildren.
