The annual event promotes volunteerism through one day of community service. It's an opportunity to learn about nonprofit agencies while helping improve the community. Day of Caring volunteers include employees from local companies, civic groups, United Way volunteers and supporters.
"Day of Caring is a unique opportunity for business professionals, area volunteers and nonprofit agencies to come together to help provide for the needs of our Northwest Arkansas community citizens," said Jill Darling, president of the United Way of Northwest Arkansas.
"We're all about getting our hands dirty in order to get the work done for the benefit of all."
Day of Caring sponsors include Panera Bread, NWACC, the Northwest Arkansas Mall, Harps, Starbucks, and the American Red Cross.
