Orthodox Church celebrates feast today
St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church will celebrate the feast of the Ascension of Our Lord on Wednesday with Evening Divine Liturgy beginning at 6 p.m. One of the 12 major orthodox feast days, the observance commemorates Christ's ascent to his Heavenly Father. Fund-raisers and a memorial service planned
The Independent Baptist Church of West Siloam Springs, Okla., is planning fund-raisers to help its children attend summer camp. A car wash, white elephant sale, bake sale and a hot dog lunch will be June 5 starting at 7 a.m.
The church will host a memorial service on May 30 with religious and patriotic music to recognize veterans.

VBS begins May 24
God's All-star Champions Vacation Bible School will be May 24 through 28 at Missionary Baptist Church in Colcord, Okla. The school is open to children 4 years old through sixth grade, and will be held from 6:15 to 9 p.m.
