Hiwasse experienced a very small turnout for the runoff election held on Tuesday.

Leon Carothers’ children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with him on Thursday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Lamarise and Skylar had Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Sam Swatzell and family in Bella Vista.

Robert Paul and Amanda Hamilton and children went to Ada, OK, for Thanksgiving with Amanda’s family.

Robert, Geneva and Marlo Hamilton and Dean Fletcher enjoyed Thanksgiving with Darrell, Teresa and Candace Rich and Maxine Fletcher.

Marlo Hamilton is spending a few days with her family here. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paul Hamilton and family joined her with other family members for dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamilton’s on Saturday.

Those enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Lytle Carlton were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Carver and Jake, Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Gregg and Autumn and Glee Funk.

Johnny Horton escaped serious injury last week when he rolled his truck.

Sue Woods is at home recuperating from her fall and surgery.

Eddie Clorer was a special speaker at the Hiwasse Church of Christ on Sunday.

Those having a late Thanksgiving dinner with me on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Ward Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Carrier, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Carrier, Alyssa, Zack and Gabriel, Mr. and Mrs. Lofty Carrier, Lamarise and Skylar.

Bill Habermehl is home recovering from heart surgery.

Ruby Hight is on our sick list again.

Larry and Regina Keith are in Iowa visiting her parents.

What did you think of Sunday’s snow ? Personally I didn’t care for it. I’m ready for spring.

Mr. and Mrs. Ron Burns joined other members of the Horton family for Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Horton.
