Mt. Pleasant had a great week at Care and Share the week of November 11. Lots of hard work but very rewarding. I believe our next tour of duty is in late January. See you then.
Mt. Pleasant had a Thanksgiving theme for our monthly dinner on November 15. We had lots of good food and fellowship.
On Friday, November 21, several of us from the church met at Monte Ne Chicken Inn for dinner and fellowship and an early send-off for Wilma Fladager.
On Tuesday, November 25, Mt. Pleasant hosted the community Thanksgiving service. The Christian Church, First Baptist Church and Nazarene Church, all of Hiwasse, joined us in song, praise and fellowship. It was such a blessing to see the church house full. Each church represented brought special music. What a blessing we all received.
Thanksgiving for the Edgmon family was at my house. Those attending were Phyllis Burnett, Wilma Fladager, Edie Burnett, Bill, Susan, John, Karen, Haley and Jake Edgmon, Dwight and Mandy Edgmon, Beverly, Dale and Gavin Nelson, Jessica and Gary Williams, Chris Nelson, Daniel, Dena and Austin McVay, Ethan McVay, Kim Scarlett, Jonas, Heather, Gabe and Abi Edgmon, Scott Edgmon, his friend Janice and her son, Lindsay and Donnie Hitson, Julie Edgmon, Patrick Estep and friend Flecia, Josh, Melissa and Trini Burnett, Allen Burnett, Wendy Jarvis, Tyler Jarvis, Helene Brinch, Gabby Malmborg (these girls are exchange students from Denmark and Sweden living with Wendy ), Darlene and Louise McVay, Linda and Alan Sanders. Alan’s daughter Jackie Sanders and friend Brandon Bush came in from Springfield, MO, and visited before going to her mother’s in Bentonville. We all ate too much but had a great time doing it. Nine of the ten children of Louise and Pete Edgmon were in attendance. Pretty good, don’t you think ?
By the time this goes to print Wilma will be back in Arizona. She left Monday morning. It doesn’t seem like she’s been here long enough.
It was quite a sight to wake up to snow on Sunday morning. I guess it’s that time of year.
I hope everyone had a happy and safe Thanksgiving and that each of us reflected on the things we are most thankful for.
Have a wonderful week. God bless each of you.
