Friday is county’s deadline for taxes

BENTON COUNTY ó Friday is the last day to pay Benton County real-estate, personalproperty and improvement-district taxes to avoid a 10 percent penalty.

All mail received with a federal postmark after Oct. 10 will be penalized for late payment. Please allow additional time for postal delivery when mailing a payment.

The main Tax Collectorís Office ó in Room 101 of the Benton County Administration Building in downtown Bentonville ó will be closed on the following Monday, Oct. 13.

All other office locations will be open during regular business hours for delinquent tax payments ï 300 W. Poplar St. in Rogers ï 2308 S. E. 28 th St., Suite 1, in Bentonville ï 108 N. E. Main St. in Gravette; and ï 107 Lincoln in Siloam Springs.

Residents may make current property-tax payments in person at any of the five office locations, by mail, by phone at 1 (888 ) 272-9829 or at www. collector. co. benton. ar. us.

Those with delinquent property taxes are asked to contact the office by phone prior to making payment so the office can provide those residents with the current payment amount due to avoid additional delays and penalties.
