A new set of golf groups may have Bella Vista property owners teeing up closer to twilight.
The Property Owners Association's Golf Division has decided to start men's, women's and couple's evening golf groups this season in an attempt to accommodate working families in the area, according to a news release from the association.
The three groups will operate under the umbrella of the newly formed Evening Golf Association, which is administrated by the Golf Division.
The men's and women's groups will play Tuesday nights during a 15-week season, which is scheduled to begin May 20 and run until Aug. 26. The couple's group will play Thursday evenings each week from May 22 until Aug. 28.
A registration fee of $ 30 will be charged to each player wishing to participate in a group. The funds will help provide weekly prizes for best play and closestto-the-pin contests, according to the release.
Players must be a part of the Bella Vista handicap system, which can be joined by paying a fee of $ 5, the release states.
Participants will likely be given tee times between 5: 15 p.m. and 6 p.m. for nine holes of play, according to the release. The men's and women's groups will normally be scheduled to play at the Kingsdale Golf Complex, while the couple's group will usually play at the Dogwood Hills course, the release states.
POA members and their guests are eligible to join the Evening Golf Association. All players will pay the 5 p.m. greens fee rate they are eligible for, according to the release.
Registration forms are available on the POA's golf Web site - www. bellavistapoa. com / golf - and at the golf department's main office in the Bella Vista Country Club.
