Spaces available at flea market

United Methodist Women of Highlands Church are making plans for their annual flea market.
The event will take place Saturday, May 31, between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. inside the church and in the parking lot. The address is 371 Glasgow Road.
As in the past, the flea market is providing an opportunity for individuals to have their own small "garage sale "without having to advertise or find space at their homes in which to set up. Parking spaces are available in the large lot in front the church for $ 10 and $ 18.
Church members will have their own items for sale inside the building. There will also be a coffee shop and a library.
Women of the church originally started this fundraiser to help support church missions that provide services to women and children. At the time, the fledgling church did not have enough items for the sale, so organizers decided to open the event to the community.
Over the years, the sale has grown in size and scope, with last year's event netting $ 2, 700 for local and worldwide missions.
