The post and its auxiliary meet at 6: 30 p. m. the second Tuesday of each month for a potluck followed by a meeting. All members, veterans and friends are invited. Barbershop Harmony Society The Greater Ozarks Chapter is a nonprofit, educational and charitable organization of barbershop-style singers. The chapter advocates music in local schools, encourages community singing, produces shows, attends conventions, receives vocal music training, delivers singing telegrams, makes educational presentations and performs throughout northwest Arkansas. Memberships are available to residents or anyone who may spend time in Bella Vista. Property Owners Association membership is not required. An annual fee of $ 40 covers all household members with insurance coverage. Guests also may be covered for an additional $ 10 per year. Households without insurance coverage will pay an annual fee of $ 80 for all of their members. Their guests may be covered for an additional $ 20 per year. BellaVista Library Established by volunteers in 1981, more than 185 dedicated volunteers continue to donate more than 1, 300 hours monthly in library services. As of 2007, BVL houses a collection of 43, 000 items, including children’s and large-print books, VHS tapes and DVDs, music CDs, books on CD and tape, and magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Any permanent resident of Bella Vista, whether a property owner or renter, may obtain a library card free of charge. Those living outside the city are assessed $ 35 annually for a library card. The library receives no county, state or federal tax support. Donations and volunteers are always needed.
