Lawrence D. "Larry"Lively, 79, of Lowell, Ark., died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, in Bella Vista, Ark. He was born Sept. 8, 1928, in Puhuska, Okla., to Homer Lee Lively and Carrie Bean Lively.
He retired as an environmental engineer for Smithfield Foods. He served in the U. S. Air Force. He enjoyed remodeling projects, golf, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Samatha "Sam"Lively, whom he married on Dec. 21, 1969, in Ada, Okla.; four sons, David Lively, Charles Simon, Michael Lively and Scott Simon; two daughters, Tera Simon and Laura Lively; a brother, Lloyd Lively; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers, Ark.

Pineville, Mo.
Genevieve Lorene Hopper, 89, of Pineville, Mo., died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Mo. She was born May 29, 1918, in Ames, Okla., to Jay Wylie Coulter and Glorvina Pearson Coulter. The Coulter family moved to the Neosho, Mo., area around 1925 using lumber and spring wagons. She married Burrell Ivan Sigler on July 25, 1939. The couple were divorced in 1952. She continued to live in Bear Hollow, where she and her daughter raised chickens.
She married Orval "Pete"Thorton Hopper on Columbus Day in 1957, and the couple lived in Bear Hollow. They moved to the Coulter farm in Goodman, Mo., to care for her parents and eventually purchased her parents' farm and lived there for many years.
After the death of her husband, Pete, she took care of elderly people in the Goodman area. She most recently lived in Pineville, where she was a member of the Women's American Legion Auxiliary and the Sew-Scrappy quilting group. She enjoyed quilting, and her quilts won many ribbons at the McDonald County (Mo. ) Fair.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Pete Hopper, on Sept. 6, 1983; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, LaVina McNelly and Jerry McNelly of Pineville; a sister, Leona Anderson of Hoaquin, Wash.; two brothers, Bill Coulter of Utah and Jack Coulter of Neosho, Mo.; four grandchildren, Brenda McNelly of Pineville, Carolyn York of Flower Mound, Texas, Dana West of Rogers, Ark., and Jerry Kent McNelly of Clemmons, N. C.; four greatgrandchildren, Jerran Winn, Carter York, Ryan West and Adam West; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 16, at the Anderson Chapel of Ozark Funeral Homes in Anderson, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Anderson Chapel of Ozark Funeral Homes with Brother Hank Gorman.
Burial will be at the Neosho Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Neosho, Mo.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, in care of Ozark Funeral Home of Anderson.

Pryor, Okla.
Andrea Banks, 59, of Pryor, Okla., formerly of Hiwasse, Ark., died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at her home. She was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Pryor to Noel Dempsey Robbins and Ruth McDaris Robbins. She grew up in Pryor and Southern California. She married Doug Banks in 1988. The couple were longtime residents of Hiwasse. She was preceded in death by a niece, Brandie Robbins. Survivors include her husband, Doug Banks; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David Robbins and Debbie Robbins, and Brandon Banks, all of Pryor, and Raiman Koestoer and Carolyn Koestoer of Fort Smith, Ark.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sharon Robbins of Portland, Ore., and Patsi Siskind and Steve Siskind of Miami, Fla.; four grandchildren, DJ Reynolds, Nicholas Robbins, Preslie Koestoer and Seth Koestoer; and a greatniece, Sharon Hays.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, at Missionary Baptist Church in Pryor.

Betty Self, 73, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Jan. 6, 1935, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Elza Cameron Boatman and Helen Belle Kibbe Boatman.
She had lived in the area since 1946. She married Dale Self on Feb. 1, 1951, in Eureka Springs, Ark. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness faith. She enjoyed yard sales, sewing, gardening and trout fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Self; three daughters, Kathrine Peterson of Washburn, Mo., Virginia Winkler of Westville, Okla., and Debra Dawson of Bentonville, Ark.; three sons, E. Dale Self of Winslow, Ariz., Willis Self of Rogers and Jackie Self of El Dorado, Ark.; five sisters, Barbara Foster and Brenda Boatman, both of Bentonville, Wanda Rogers of Pea Ridge, Ark., Kay Benningfield of Rogers and Linda Shackelford of St. Paul, Ark.; a brother, Jim Boatman of Rogers; 19 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge, Ark.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Ruddick Cemetery near Garfield, Ark., with Pastor Dick Rogers.
