Bella Vista
James F. Gore, 86, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, May 13, 2008. Arrangements are pending with Stockdale Funeral Services of Rogers, Ark. Noel, Mo. Willard Francis ‘ Doc’ Stiles Dr. Willard Francis “ Doc” Stiles, 83, of Noel, Mo., died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home. He was born Oct. 31, 1924, in Sulphur Springs, Ark., to Luke Hertwick Stiles and Rowena Elizabeth Mills Stiles. He attended school in Noel, and at the age of 17, he joined the U. S. Navy during World War II. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he was a premed student at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark., and graduated from the Kansas City School of Osteopathy and Surgery. He married Jennie Dorene Lewis on April 23, 1945, in Noel. He served McDonald County, Mo., as a physician for more than 45 years. He was one of the last of the old-time country doctors, performing shade-tree surgeries and delivering babies at home. When he was in his 50 s, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force as a flight surgeon. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dorene Stiles, on Aug. 22, 2006; and two sisters. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bob Stiles and Nona Stiles of Bella Vista, Ark., and Bill Stiles of Noel; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p. m. to 8 p. m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Ozark Funeral Home Chapel in Noel. Graveside funeral services with full military honors will be at 2 p. m. Thursday, May 15, at the Noel Cemetery with John Mike Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in care of Ozark Funeral Home of Noel. Rogers
Phillip Rex Latta, 73, of Rogers, Ark., died Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Rogers. He was born Sept. 21, 1934, in Emporia, Kan., to George Rex Latta and Etta Rosebud Hanks Latta. He was a former welder and also a former body shop repairman for Mercedes Benz Sales and Service Body Repair.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Thompson Latta; two sons, Gerald Lee Latta of Akron, Ohio, and Kirk Douglas Latta of Lowell, Ark.; two daughters, Rosemarie Hopper of Rockaway Beach, Mo., and Phyllis Kay Huddleston of Springdale, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Glenda Ashberger of Bentonville, Ark.; three stepsons, Jody Wilson of Rogers, Robert Sikes of DeQueen, Ark., and John Sikes of Bentonville; three brothers, Jay Latta of Hutchinson, Kan., Gerald Latta of Conway, Ark., and George Latta of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are by the Benton County Funeral Home in downtown Rogers.

Roy Thomas “Tom” Remy Jr., 85, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. He was born July 8, 1922, in Burlington, Kan., to Roy Thomas Remy Sr. and Gladys Dell Whistler Remy.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church and served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a 32 nd-degree Mason with the Valley of Fort Smith Orient, Rogers 460, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Scimitar Shrine, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6344 and Rogers American Legion Post 100.
He was in death by his wife of 63 years, Marjorie Remy, in 2003.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn Siler and Darel Siler of Bentonville, Ark., and Melissa Reeves and Chuck Reeves of Rogers; a brother, George Remy of Burlington, Kan.; a sister, Mary Coy of Titusville, Fla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m. Wednesday, May 14, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Rogers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a. m. Thursday, May 15, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial with U. S. Marine Corps honors will be at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762; or to the Shriners Hospital of St. Louis, Mo.

Teri L. See, 45, of Rogers, Ark., died Monday, May 12, 2008, in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Sept. 2, 1962, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Larry See and Donna Burgess See.
She attended school in Carlisle, Iowa, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a truck driver with Mid Continent Concrete Co. Survivors include her fiance, Tracy Parisho of the home; two sons, Derik See of Des Moines, Iowa, and Nathan Parisho of the home; a daughter, Hannah See of Elkins, Ark.; a stepson, Michael Knode of Des Moines; her father, Larry See and his wife Judy See of Garfield, Ark.; her mother, Donna See of Carlisle, Iowa; a brother, Joel See of Ely, Minn.; her maternal grandmother, Ellen Burgess of Hillsboro, Tenn.; an uncle, Clarence See of Carlisle; an aunt, Phyllis Polson of Bella Vista, Ark.; and her fiance’s mother, Kathy Koehly and her husband Dennis Koehly of Des Moines. Siloam Springs
Bobby Dean Foster, 80, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born Aug. 10, 1927, in Chelsea, Okla., to Noah Foster and Nellie Pederson Foster. He married Mary Kay Tabor on Oct. 28, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev. He retired from the U. S. Navy after serving 22 years from 1944 to 1966. He served during World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Liberty Coins in Long Beach, Calif., then in Siloam Springs and on e-Bay, selling coins and stamps. He was a member of the Lions Club and attended the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Siloam Springs. He was preceded in death by a daughter; a granddaughter; two sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include his wife, Mary K. Foster; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim Foster and Lynn Foster of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Beverly Foster of Long Beach, Calif., Maribeth Dobbs and Max Dobbs of Siloam Springs, Debbie Hanson and Tim Hanson of Norco, Calif., and Bobbie Palmer and Gene Palmer of Gentry, Ark.; a sister, Ruth Crumbliss of Bixby, Okla.; a brother, Kenneth Foster of San Antonio, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4 p. m. to 8 p. m. Thursday, May 15, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Springdale
Donald Ray Selby, 54, of Springdale, Ark., died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1953, in Scottsboro, Ala., to George Washington Selby and Alma Ruth Williams Selby.
He and his family moved to Springdale four years ago from Haines City, Fla. He was an over-the-road truck driver for many years and most recently drove for Professional Carriers. He had attended the Shamrock Baptist Church in Haines City. He enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Selby; and a brother, Richard Selby.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hendrix Selby; two sons, Michael Selby of Plano, Texas, and Chad Selby of Rogers, Ark.; two daughters, Jennifer Selby of Haines City, Fla., and Amanda Selby of Springdale; three brothers, David Selby of Haines City, Steve Selby of Dundee, Fla., and Danny Selby of Honoraville, Fla.; and two sisters, Betty Selby and Nita Selby, both of Honoraville.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home of Rogers, Ark.
Tucson, Ariz.
Ray E. Ray E. Schlosser, age 92, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Tucson, AZ. Ray was born December 3, 1915, in Durand, WI. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the U. S. Army in Europe. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara Jean, now in Tucson, AZ; daughters, Linda Noble (John ) of Wayzata, MN, Nancy Brown (Eric ) of Tucson, AZ, and Teresa Holmes (Jay ) of Rochester, NY. His grandchildren are Melissa Richie, Michael and Matthew Brown. Ray is also survived by his faithful horse and companion, Smokey. Barb and Ray retired to Rogers, AR, where they spent 20-plus wonderful years and had many dear friends. They had just recently moved to Tucson. Ray is with the Lord where “ the sun will shine on his face forever. ” A funeral Mass was held for Ray in Tucson on May 9. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, MN, in June.
