BENTONVILLE - A Shell Knob, Mo., man was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

Brian Lee Lodwick, 29, pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault in the fourth degree, a class D felony punishable with a prison sentence of up to six years. His plea was under an agreement attorney Andrew Hatfield reached with Deputy Prosecutor Mike Armstrong.

Lodwick was arrested on March 26, 2007, on suspicion of having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl. A nocontact order was issued prohibiting Lodwick from having any contact with the girl.

In March, Lodwick was arrested after the alleged victim reported to the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney's Office that she had been seeing Lodwick on a regular basis since May 2007, and that the two had engaged in sexual intercourse on numerous occasions, according to court documents.

Lodwick was jailed last month after an Arkansas State Police trooper made a traffic stop, and Lodwick was again with the girl.

Circuit Judge David Clinger accepted the plea agreement and Lodwick's guilty plea.

Lodwick was sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. After his release, he must abide by a suspended-sentence agreement for six years.

Lodwick was ordered not to have any contact with the victim or any other female under age 18. He was also ordered not to take part in any Internet social networks such as MySpace or Facebook.

He will be required to register as a sex offender, and must enroll in and complete the prison's sex-offender treatment program. Lodwick also must pay $ 1, 670 in court-associated costs.
