For Kurt Moore

There are four people running for District 13 justice of the peace, but in our minds, this is really a two-person race between the incumbent, Kurt Moore, and James "Jake"Naramore, who's by far the most impressive of Moore's challengers.

We've written a lot about experience in these endorsements, but there's a reason for that: the issues facing the county don't pay attention to election cycles. They carry over, term to term, often growing more complex the longer they're on the county's agenda.

Experience isn't everything, as evidenced by our endorsement of Dan Douglas in the District 9 race.

But service like Moore's - he's approaching his 10 th year on the court - does have a lot of value. And Moore, in our estimation, has done a good job.

Naramore would make a fine JP, but we see no reason for District 13 to make a change.
