Bella Vista incidents
Among incidents reported to the Bella Vista Police Department according to records, were the following:
At 10: 09 a. m. Friday, a pontoon boat was reported floating loose in the area of Pinion Valley Drive. The owner was notified and met officers to pick up the boat.
At 10: 50 a. m. Friday, a golden Lab with an Elvis Presley tag was dropped off at the Bella Vista Animal Shelter. The dog will be held to give the owner a citation.
At 11: 20 a. m. Friday, a Teresa Lane resi dent reported a pit bull on the front porch. The residents were afraid to go outside and claimed they were being held hostage by the dog. The dog is a possible pit bull and Rottweiler mix, a brown-and-white brindle color and very old.
At 11: 37 a. m. Friday, a big black Lab was reported on Hatcher Drive and was getting trash all over the place.
At 12: 26 p. m. Friday, a sick raccoon on Lockerbie Drive was reported lying in a ditch.
At 3: 29 p. m. Friday, two stray dogs were removed from Hilltop Drive and taken to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.
At 4: 04 a. m. Friday, a caller on Harlow Drive complained of loud music.
At 4: 33 p. m. Friday, an aggressive German shepherd was reported running loose on Bolton Lane.
At 8: 07 p. m. Friday, a caller advised police he did not realize Papa Mikes was closed, and when he pulled on the door, it opened. The door latch was sticking out and would not allow the door to close. He was asked to wait until an officer arrived and call if anyone attempted to enter the restaurant. An employee arrived and took care of the situation.
At 12: 05 a. m. Saturday, a caller reported a dark-colored sports utility vehicle was involved in a one-vehicle accident at Leicester and Bosworth. A group of kids emerged, piled into a brown or silver Lexus with Kansas tags, and left. The caller said they appeared intoxicated.
At 9: 52 a. m. Saturday, a raccoon was reported stumbling around and acting strangely on Elizabeth Drive. The raccoon was ill and was disposed of.
At 11: 27 a. m. Saturday, Matt from the Bella Vista Ambulance Service reported that a resident was trying to pick up a dog that was being held for citation.
At 12: 47 p. m. Saturday, a sick raccoon across from the Dairy Queen was removed and disposed of.
At 1: 32 a. m. Saturday, a landlord on Evesham Lane called to report that tenants were moving and taking appliances that belong to the residence.
At 5: 43 p. m. Saturday, all-terrain vehicles were reported on Kingsland Road in front of St. Theodores Episcopal Church.
At 6: 32 p. m. Saturday, two mothers and their children were reported playing by the creek by Pinion Valley Falls.
At 7: 30 p. m. Saturday, kids were reported riding small motorcycles on the Bella Vista Country Club golf course.
At 10: 02 p. m. Saturday, four or five ATVs were reported on Devonshire.
At 12: 07 a. m. Sunday, a caller reported a loud party near Formby Lane.
At 1: 25 a. m. Sunday, a caller reported a loud party on Harlow Drive.
At 1: 45 a. m. Sunday, approximately four four-wheelers with drivers who appeared intoxicated were reported driving up and down Sandridge, Baker and Howland.
At 3: 52 a. m. Sunday, a callers mother saw someone in her house on Wimbleton Way, and he ran off when she confronted him. The mother said the white male was outside, crouched down by the stairs. She shined a flashlight at him; then he ran off through the backyard.
At 11: 27 a. m. Sunday, an altercation was reported between two residents of Concordia. Neither received extensive injuries.
At 1: 04 p. m. Sunday, an ATV was reported on a roadway.
At 4: 31 p. m. Sunday, the rider of an ATV, across from old Fire Station No. 2, was advised to take his four-wheeler home and not drive it in the roadway.
At 8: 36 a. m. Monday, a raccoon was reported at the back door of 60 Sugar Creek Center and would not let their supplier in. An officer reported the raccoon did not seem aggressive.
At 9: 09 a. m. Monday, a raccoon on Cummings Lane was relocated.
