BASEBALL Bentonville Baseball Camp Bentonville High School will host its baseball camp for players age 7–15 on June 9–11. Ages 7–10 will work from 9–11: 30 a. m. Ages 11–15 will work from 12: 30 p. m. –3: 30 p. m. at Tiger Field at the TAC. The camp will be conducted by BHS coaches and players and will focus on the fundamentals of fielding, hitting, pitching, baserunning and having fun. Cost of the camp is $ 55 before June 7 and $ 65 after June 7. The cost includes a camp T-shirt. Make checks payable to Todd Abbott.
Campers should bring a glove, bat, water bottle and sunscreen.
Applications can be picked up in the lobby TAC and at each school throughout the Bentonville School District.

The Arkansas Razorbacks will offer two camps at Baum Stadium this summer.
The Razorback Baseball All Skills Camp is scheduled for June 24-26. It is for ages 7-15. The cost is $ 200.

BASKETBALL Lady Golden Eagles camps John Brown University will host two girls ’ basketball camps in June. The Junior Eagle day camp, for ages 7-9, will be June 9-12. The cost is $ 85. A camp for ages 10-15 will also be June 9-12. The cost is $ 120 for commuters and $ 235 for overnight campers. BASKETBALL Pea Ridge Lil’Hawk Camp Head basketball coach Charley Clark will host the 2008 Lil’Hawk Basketball Camp on June 2-6 at the Pea Ridge High School Gymnasium. Camp runs from 8 a. m. to noon each day and is for campers entering grades 3 through 6 next year. Boys and girls are welcome. Registration cost is $ 50 and camp will be limited to the first 100 campers. Pay in advance to reserve a spot. Walk-ins will be accepted on Monday morning, June 2, beginning at 7 a. m. Each child will receive a camp T-shirt and certificate. There will be plenty of instruction and many opportunities for all campers to improve. There will be contests and competition for awards. The camp will be directed by coach Clark. Also on staff are head girls basketball coach Heather Wade and junior high boys coach Stuart Creamer. Tiger Round Ball Skills Camp Bentonville High boys’ basketball coach Mike Nelson will lead the Tiger Round Ball Skills Camp on June 4-6 from 9-11: 30 a. m. each day. The camp is for any male athlete who will be in the second grade through seventh grade. The camp, which will be held at Bentonville’s Tiger Arena, will feature quality, individual instruction, daily team competition, a free T-shirt and daily awards. The cost is $ 60. CAMPS Bentonville Lincoln football / basketball camp The Bentonville Lincoln Junior High football and basketball programs are sponsoring a 16-day camp this summer for rising sixth- and seventh-graders. The focus of the camp will be the fundamentals of football and basketball. It will be held at the LJHS athletic facilities from 10: 30 a. m. to noon on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays starting June 30. Registration will be held Thursday, May 22, from 4-6 p. m. at LJHS gym at 1206 Leopard Lane. The camp will be limited to 75 participants. The cost of the camp is $ 50. FOOTBALL Pioneer football camp The Gentry Pioneer football camp will be June 9-11 for 4 th-6 th graders for the 2008-2009 school year. The camp will run from 9 a. m.-noon each day at Pioneer Stadium. The cost is $ 40 per camper and is due by Friday, May 30. Late registration is $ 50. The camp will emphasize drills and techniques specific to all positions and include a 7-on-7 competition as well as a lineman challenge. SWIMMING Little Shark Triathlon The second annual Little Shark Triathlon sponsored by Northwest Arkansas Aquatics will be held Saturday, June 28, at Memorial Park in Bentonville. The race is for kids ages 5-15 and the race will be limited to the first 200 entries. T-shirts are guaranteed to everyone registered by June 20. All participants will receive a competition award. Trophies will be awarded for first through third place per age group for boys and girls. Registration cost is $ 25 ($ 35 after June 20 ). Required USAT registration is $ 5. Summer Swim League Tryouts will be held between 3: 45-4: 30 p. m. at the Walton Life Fitness Center on May 30 for the Summer Swim League of the Northwest Arkansas Aquatic Association. Eligible swimmers should be able to perform an unassisted 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard backstroke. This six-week program will cost $ 100 which includes a one-time USS registration fee. Training will begin Monday, June 9. The group will train Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4-5 p. m. The last day will be Thursday, July 17. Practices will be held at the Melvin Ford Aquatic Center at Memorial Park.
