PEA RIDGE - Two of the area's hottest small-school baseball teams will meet today when Class 3 A Pea Ridge (8-1 ) visits Class 4 A Farmington (10-1 ). First pitch is at 4 p.m.

Pea Ridge won big at home Tuesday for its sixth straight win. The Blackhawks beat Huntsville 10-0 in five innings.

"But it was ugly," coach John E. King says. "Walks and errors," he adds.

Jordan Wright (1-0 ) pitched four innings to earn the win and Kyle pitched the fifth to complete the shutout.

Earlier in the week Pea Ridge swept a conference doubleheader at Green Forest.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, beat Gentry 13-2 on Tuesday for their eighth win in a row. They haven't lost since Feb. 28, a 10-1 decision to Springdale Har-Ber.

Farmington returns several key players from last year's state runner-up team including seniors Wes Kahl and Evan Abrecht.
