BENTONVILLE - Upcoming events at Crystal Bridges at the Massey in Bentonville include the following:
ArtBuzz After Dark
The buzz is on at Crystal Bridges at the Massey, with its ArtBuzz After Dark event, set for 5:30 to 7:30 Friday. Spend an evening in the gallery with Niki Ciccotelli, head of school programs at Crystal Bridges; Courtney Callahan, Crystal Bridges sales manager; and Stephanie King, library adviser at Borders Bookstore, for a different perspective of the mail art on view as part of the current Post-Secret exhibit. Secrets sell - they sell ideas, connections and books, but is it art? A wine and cheese reception will follow the program, and no registration is required.
Mr. Shrine's Secret
Story Box Workshop
Join Eureka Springs artist Ralph Wilson, more commonly known as Mr. Shrine, from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 17 at Crystal Bridges at the Massey for Mr. Shrine's Secret Story Box Workshop.
The workshop will focus on constructing individual story boxes that honor significant secrets in the participants' lives. Participants are asked to bring small tokens of importance to include in their story boxes. All other materials and a snack will be provided. The cost is $15, and the registration deadline is Friday. The program, inspired by the current exhibition, PostSecret, is for adults and mature teens.
