BENTONVILLE — Something entirely unique is being given to the community by the First Baptist Church of Bentonville. The dramatic presentation “ We Need a Little Christmas” will be performed by the 412 Praise student choir.

The event will be held at the church at 6 p. m. Saturday and Sunday.

Ken Montgomery, director of the music ministry at the church, emphasized that everyone is welcome.

“ It’s our gift to the community, ” Montgomery said. “ The event will include a silent auction, wonderful desserts and some musical treats. The show is divided into two segments. Act I is a Christmas variety show, followed by intermission and dessert in the Family Life Center. A band will be playing and many, many people have contributed to make the event successful. Silent-auction items can be seen and bids can be placed at that time. Act II will be the Christmas story and more music. Auction items can be picked up after the closing act. ”

Along with the unique program, several of the silentauction items are especially fun and unusual: valued at $ 2, 000, a safari package for four at Legends Ranch in Michigan; a one-night stay at the Crescent Hotel, dinner at Catfish Cabin and two tickets to “ The Great Passion Play”; and a one-night stay at South Walton Suites with a couples massage at Accents Spa and dinner for two at Fred’s Hickory Inn. Other great packages include several Branson ticket packages, a Lost Springs Golf certificate for four and two Magic Springs season passes for 2009.

There is no admission charge; however, a love offering will be taken. Tickets are available at the church office or in the Welcome Center after morning services. It is not necessary to have a ticket to attend the Christmas program.

Proceeds will benefit the 412 Praise Youth Choir’s trip to Scotland on a 2009 mission trip. For more information, visit www. fbcbentonville. org or call 418-7726.
