POA budget up for discussion tonight

BELLA VISTA — Talk on the 2009 budget for the Bella Vista Property Owners Association will continue at 6 p. m. today in the board room at the Country Club.
The directors and their Joint Action Committees on Golf, Recreation and other amenities have been discussing the new fiscal year for more than a couple of weeks now.
Most of those discussions have focused on golf and recreational activities within the village.
Tonight, the directors’ attention will turn toward the water department.
Board members will hear a report and proposed budget from General Manager Tommy Bailey.
Also on tonight’s agenda is a follow-up on the Joint Action Committee on Environment. Of late those meetings have been drawing fewer and fewer members and it has been suggested it be opened up to other groups with similar interests.
There will be a committee report on an amendment to Policy 2. 04, Boat Registration and Mooring.
The board recently suggested an increase in boat registration to bring it more in line with that of golf carts and to help close the gap on a $ 112, 000 shortfall in expected revenue.
