Chandler pleads not guilty to porn charges

BENTONVILLE — A Bentonville man pleaded not guilty Monday to child-pornography-related charges.
Chris Chandler, 46, is charged with five counts of distributing or possession of viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, a class C felony. If convicted, Chandler could receive a sentence of three to 10 years on each count. He entered the plea during an arraignment before Circuit Judge David Clinger.
An omnibus hearing in the case is scheduled for 8: 30 a. m. Nov. 13.
Chandler was arrested May 22 when probation officers Jessica Winters and Michael Markum conducted a home visit at Chandler’s residence, according to court documents.
The probation officers found a folder containing pornographic photographs, including a photograph of a nude young girl, an affidavit in the case states. Handwriting at the bottom of the photograph depicted the sexual abuse of a child, according to court documents.
A name and age — 5 — were also written on the top of the photograph, court documents state.
Computer hard drives, DVDs and CDs were also seized at Chandler’s residence, according to court documents.
