GARFIELD - After serving a high-risk search warrant at a home on U. S. Highway 62 on Tuesday night, law enforcement arrested one person and found an arsenal of weapons, as well as a variety of drugs.

The warrant was served at 19431 Highway 62 at 10: 45 p.m. Tuesday by members of the Benton County Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Narcotics Unit, Crime Suppression Unit and members of the Rogers Police Department Narcotics Unit.

Deputies found several rifles, pistol-grip shotguns, handguns, ammunition magazines and several hundred rounds of ammunition, in addition to more than 8 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and illicit prescription pills.

The search concluded an ongoing investigation by the Sheriff's Office of the property, which includes a residence and car lot, Capt. Mike Sydoriak said.

The investigation of the home began when area residents began calling the Sheriff's Office with tips, saying "something just was not right," Sydoriak said.

"It was a good bust. It gets drugs and some guns off the streets, and that is our main goal," Sydoriak said.

The Sheriff's Office is currently cross-checking the serial numbers on the weapons to find out if they are stolen, Sydoriak said.

Deputies arrested Sandra Diane Weeks, 42, for possession of a controlled substance.

The homeowner, Charles Morris, 56, was not home at the time of the raid. Police are searching for Morris, in addition to several other parties of interest in connection with the bust, Sydoriak said.
