Poker run to be held today

The Cancer Road Challenge Poker Run and Show will start at 8: 30 a. m. today Saturday at the Northwest Arkansas Community College parking garage in Bentonville.

It will be held rain or shine. Check-in and indoor events will take place in the multilevel parking garage at the college. Due to anticipated weather, poker hands will most likely be drawn on site.

Activities include: A 100-mile Poker Run, A bike show with 13 prize categories, A barbecue Lunch, A silent Auction, Music by Joe Giles and the Home Wreckers, A skills Course, A drawing for a $ 500 Wal-Mart gift card.

The Benton County Senior Activity Center and the Meals On Wheels program will hold a pancake brunch fundraiser form 11: 30 a. m. to 1 p. m. Sunday at 3501 S. E. L St. in Bentonville.

The menu will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, fruit, coffee, tea, milk and juice. The cost is $ 5 per person. Children under age 12 may eat for $ 3 each.
