Local student artist to attend Interlochen

Mary Catherine Manning, 14, of Bentonville has been accepted to and will attend Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, the world's premier fine arts boarding high school. Manning, the daughter of Mary and Mark Manning, will study violin at the academy. During the previous academic year, Manning was a student at Washington Junior High School. Manning has participated in the North Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra Program, the University of Arkansas Preparatory Orchestra, and the Fayetteville Fiddle Choir.
