ROGERS — Jeffrey Nichols was apparently shopping for car parts in the wrong place. Police arrested the 20-yearold Rogers resident for allegedly stealing car parts from local auto businesses.
According to a Rogers Police Department press release, Nichols allegedly hit two locations for his parts. Investigators are accusing him of first stealing a car door from Grigg’s Automotive in Rogers on Aug. 21 and installing it on his own car and later stealing headlights from a vehicle at Kent Rylee Chevrolet in Rogers to replace bad headlights on his own vehicle.
Nichols, arrested Thursday, is being charged with two felonies — theft of property and breaking and entering — and one misdemeanor — criminal mischief — in connection with the theft. He is also being charged with the felony criminal use of a prohibited weapon because officers found brass knuckles in his truck.
