BELLA VISTA — Bryan Scott Grady, 27, was arrested Thursday for allegedly growing marijuana plants in his backyard on Kincardine Drive.
Detective Ryan Harmon and Sgt. Mark Kugler of the Bella Vista Police Department charged Grady with a class C felony for manufacturing a controlled substance.
Grady is being held in the Benton County Jail in lieu of $ 7, 500 bond.
One of the marijuana plants, located in the tree line at the edge of Grady’s property, was visible from the street, Harmon said. Another plant was discovered behind a shed after officers entered the backyard, according to police reports.
The plants were more than 10 feet tall, Harmon said.
Kugler said the plants weighed more than 10 pounds each.
If convicted, Grady will face a sentence of four to 10 years in prison, Harmon said. The maximum fine is $ 25, 000.
